Why host in Canada?
When you host in Canada you’re subject to Canadian Laws instead of the laws of another country, some companies have to host their customer information in Canada to comply with the privacy act.
Choosing Canadian products and services supports our local economy, keeps jobs in Canada, and can contribute to a more environmentally and socially conscious choice.
Do I have to pay tax on the package prices?
Any relevant taxes are included in the price unless otherwise specified, you just pay the flat fee. (Ex: Nuts & Bolts is $10/month taxes included)
How do I know if my site is secure and whatnot?
Your data is securely hosted in Kelowna BC. We keep your information and privacy protected through Canadian privacy laws. Your website is always accessible with full redundancies and monitoring. For the nitty gritty check out our Data Centre page.
I want to register a .ca domain, what are the rules?
To register a .ca domain you have to meet the Canadian presence requirements. For more information visit the Canadian Internet Registration Authority website.
What is the difference between VPS and Web Hosting?
Web hosting is for a specific site/domain. Virtual Private Servers are for people looking for an huge open space, to host, develop, test and more

I forgot my password?
You can use your email to retrieve it, just click on forgot password and it will email you a reset.
I'm not managing my own site and my web person needs help, can they call you?
Sure they can! just make sure they are set as a contact in your account (just so we know they have permission) and we’ll be happy to help them with your account needs.
How will I know when my domain is expiring/expired and what do I do?
You’re going to get some emails that warn you of the impending expiry, all you have to do is log into your Hey Tommy account, under the domains menu, renew domain and follow the instructions on the screen.
What happens if I max out my hosting space?
When you’re at 90% we’ll get a notification and we’ll let you know your options, we can bump you up a package (and you’ll get a new subscription from paypal) but we won’t suspend your account or anything, we’ll make sure that you’re always up and running while we’re working on a solution with you.

I'm a charity or non profit looking for a hosting space, do you have a deal for me?
We do offer deals to Canadian registered charities or non-profits, but you have to apply and the spaces are limited. If you’re interested in talking to us about hosting please contact us.
How much wood could a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood?
About 320 kg (700 pounds). Compared to beavers, groundhogs/woodchucks are not adept at moving timber, although some will chew wood.
